Virginie Lemoine, guest of honor of the festival

Guest of honor of the 5th edition of the International Independent Film Festival which took place from 10 to 13 June 2021 (originally edition 2020), Virginie LEMOINE made a sensation, rewarding the public as much by her kindness as her availability.

This 5th edition of the SMR13 Festival took place between two waves of Covid 19, which did not prevent it from being a great success with the public. The comedian and humorist Virginie LEMOINE was the guest of honor. During the opening ceremony, worthy of an American-style show, the artist was very touched by the retrospective of her career, supported by numerous photos and videos. During her speech of thanks, Virginie LEMOINE evoked several facts on her artistic course which she associated with her two brothers, Gregoire and Etienne. She also underlined the importance of the SMR13 Festival which defends the colors of an independent cinema, necessary to allow its authors to keep a certain freedom that in the choice of the subjects and the way of treating them. Virginie LEMOINE, an artist who is very attentive to others, was very touched by the attention she received during this 5th edition of the SMR13 Festival.

During these four days of festivities, the Parisian radio Dynamic Radio was present. Virginie LEMOINE was the guest of a special program where she evoked the strong moments of her career in theater and television. She participated in many successful shows with Michel Drucker or the Robins des Bois before meeting Laurent Ruquier who quickly integrated her into his team.
At the same time, she pursued her theatrical career as an actress (Les monologues du vagin, Comme en 14 etc...) and as a director (Nos années parallèlles, Suite Française, Tempête en juin etc...). She will remain the unforgettable Marion Ferriere in the television series "Famille d'accueil" broadcast on France 3 between 2001 and 2016.

Virginie Lemoine is currently playing in the play "Oscar" by Claude Magnier, directed by Antony Mettler. She is also in rehearsal for the play "Black comedy" by Peter Shaffer, directed by Gregory Barco, which will be performed at the Théâtre du Splendid in Paris.
